The Respironics Esprit Ventilator combines sophisticated design with easy-to-use features. This microprocessor driven unit upgrades easily and offers a range of modes and breath types. These include volume control, pressure control, and fully integrated noninvasive ventilation. Because the Esprit Ventilator has no need for wall air or compressors and can be run on either AC power, battery pack or an external battery, the Esprit’s’ mobility and versatility make it ideal for use in any setting, from hospital to sub-acute care facilities.
As a busy clinician, you will appreciate the Esprit’s design and it’s a range of treatments modalities for all patient populations. This allows you to use the same ventilator for all patients to reduce training and the associated costs.
The Respironics Esprit Ventilator is designed to effectively deliver both invasive and noninvasive ventilation, so two separate vents are not needed for the patient. Esprit’s noninvasive mode is fully integrated into the ventilator and has specific alarms. It’s perfect for subacute care, yet it’s equally suitable for critical care. The Esprit is a blower/compressor ventilator, so it doesn’t require a high-pressure air source. It can be operated on AC power, a battery pack or an external battery, which adds portability and provided back-up power in the event of a power outage

SERVO-i® combines a high level of clinical performance for invasive, non-invasive or neurally controlled ventilation with outstanding mobility and cost efficiency. It features all the modes you would expect from an advanced ventilation system in one adaptable platform. Three basic configurations are available: SERVO-i Infant, SERVO-i Adult and SERVO-i Universal for all patient categories. SERVO-i Infant and SERVO-i Adult can always be upgraded to SERVO-i Universal.
All SERVO-i ventilatory configurations are effective for bedside use and most of them are also available in MR and HBO* editions.
The product HBO may be pending regulatory approvals to be marketed in your country. Contact your Maquet representative for more information.
Features:
The typical ICU must be able to cope with any combination of patient and clinical situations at all times. SERVO-i® features all the ventilator modes you would expect from an advanced ventilation system, with a number of competitive features.
SERVO-i enhances interaction between the patient and the ventilator by offering unprecedented levels of speed in sensing and control. It further provides clinicians with proper tools to evaluate the impact of your ventilatory strategy, both over time and during the critical phase associated with interventions.
NAVA® is a unique approach to mechanical ventilation as it listens to the patient’s own respiratory signal. With NAVA, the electrical activity of the diaphragm (Edi) is captured, fed to the ventilator and used to assist the patient’s breathing, with improved synchrony and in proportion to the patient’s own efforts.1 Research has also shown that patients on NAVA benefit from improved sleep quality, which may reduce sedation.2 The risk of ventilator-induced diaphragm dysfunction is also reduced3 and NAVA may even have the potential to reduce time on mechanical ventilation.
Read more about NAVA at our peer-to-peer website, Critical Care News...
The Edi signal is a diagnostic tool that monitors the electrical activity of the diaphragm (Edi). This provides useful information on a respiratory drive, volume requirements and the effect of your ventilatory settings, information that supports your decision for intubation or extubation. An increasing Edi may signify increasing weakness or worsen of the patient condition. As the patient’s condition improves, the decreasing Edi amplitude and the pressure drop indicate that weaning and extubation should be considered.5, 6
The OPEN LUNG TOOL® provides an instrument for effectively determining the effect of a ventilator intervention. It provides guidance for a successful recruitment maneuver.
AUTOMODE® supports the patient. Set a controlled mode and let the ventilator adapt to the current patient situation, switching between controlled and supported breathing in connection with patient effort. The control mode is initiated after an operator set time-out. This well-established mode provides smoother, safer patient transition and less staff intervention.
For continuity of care with no loss of treatment information, SERVO-i is available for Magnetic resonance imaging (MR) and for Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO*).
